I haven't tested the newest in-beta version of DW yet, so I can't fairly say anything about it (other than "ugh, I just don't like tech changes to things that have been working fine for me for years and to which I'm accustomed").

I would like to see comments here from fen who have tested this beta version! What do you think? What did you like? What did you not like?

Date: 2023-11-14 10:30 pm (UTC)Well I don't think you're going to actually see them until & unless you use them. But you post a lot more than I do, so if you did turn on the beta test features, you'd experience them a lot sooner than I will!
For example, I'm not replying to your reply via DW... I'm using the wonderful DW "reply by email" feature... Which I hope never, EVER goes away!
As you know, due to my job I'm not able to log in to DW on my own dedicated computer (because I don't have a dedicated one) & not able to use my phone much (even though I don't work in the jail anymore, we're still not supposed to have our phones out in patient care areas... Which is the majority of where I work; also it's just too damn busy, except when I'm on lunch or it's late in the day and we're done with patients for the day).
But I CAN get into my Gmail with any browser & even if I'm caught, it's just my email - not "social media" (albeit under my fandom pseud, yikes!) - so I see my DW notifications by email! Yay!
Which is just one reason I like DW's features! (Also because my job doesn't block DW... or AO3 for that matter - although I don't have time to do anything on DW or AO3 except maybe at lunch time or late in the day, like today, when the last patient is gone, the doctors are gone, and I have time to kill before I can clock out.)
