September 21 is considered to be Ray Vecchio's birthday and is celebrated annually by due South fandom as "Ray Vecchio Day". I did write a RayV-centric fic on September 21, but I was away from home at the Con*Strict Slashcon at the time and it's taken me a little while after returning home to get back up to speed about posting for Fannish Fifty.
