Escapade!

On my way to Escapade in LA -- the world's longest-running annual slashcon -- for its 30th anniversary! \o/

As long as the Covid-19 doesn't muck things up. *fingers crossed*

Escapade was my very first slash con, and now that I'm here, I can't go anymore. :(

Oh, I'm not actually worried about getting sick. That's not the worry. It's the travel restrictions. I worry about mandated quarantine periods. Cancelled flights. School continuing to be delayed so that there's not enough break to bother going home.

But I shall take the vibes, because they certainly can't hurt. ;)

(I keep meaning to find that episode with the dots in it, but. Well. It's obviously not happening) In this case, the red dot is where I live. :)

Fun fact! WTNV was the first fandom I got into because of tumblr!

Just posts randomly coming across my dash. I don't remember who was reblogging them. It was probably more than one person. And it sounded interesting. And I had a long-ish train ride from Kansas City to Chicago, followed by a flight from Detroit to China, so. I had time. I started right after WTNV's first anniversary. :)

Too many posts and I possibly would have dismissed it, at least for a while. That's what happened with the first Avengers movie. Too much hype and I blacklisted it. I did see it before the year was out, but. I resisted! I tend to be contrarian. Though when it came to BBC Sherlock, the fandom on tumblr drove me away (not personally, just generally)... and I've not been back. To be fair, I had kinda drifted away after s2, but wasn't gone gone. Now I am.
