No, it's not a time-warp back to July, and note that I already fixed it to Canadian Thanksgiving Day, which is what I meant in the first place...but too little sleep and too many increased responsibilities at home and I make slip-ups like that.

Thank you kindly! I did have a nice one. I had the day off from work and had a lovely day at home. (I'm possibly the only American who claims Canadian Thanksgiving Day as a holiday taken off from work.)

Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

(I'd totally forgotten about it, but I'd made salmon baked with maple syrup just by chance, and my partner brought home maple syrup pastries just by chance, so it worked out fine.)

Yum! Maple anything! One of my most treasured souvenirs from visiting Canada -- and alas, it is of course a souvenir that gets used up -- is the two types of maple sugar I bought at Ottawa's famous Byward Market when I was in Ottawa to see the Musical Ride a few years ago (and yes, I still have some of that maple sugar, using it sparingly).

What's your salmon and maple syrup recipe?

Oh, there wasn't really a recipe. I just threw some syrup on it, with a little soy sauce to cut through the sweetness, and baked it and then flaked it into stir-fried veg and noodles. But it was good!

Well, that sounds very easy with the salmon. I don't have soy sauce but I do have coconut aminos, so I'm going to try it with that and maple syrup, vegetables, and soba noodles.
