The library where I am a librarian had staff write haiku as a celebration of International Haiku Day on April 17th (and as for why the17th: it's because haiku is three lines consisting of a line of 5 syllables, then a line of 7 syllables, and then another line of 5 syllables...and 5 + 7 + 5 equals 17). Fangirl that I am, I looked back through my decade of writing dS fic and took that as my inspiration to write this fic-based haiku assemblage whose fannish meaning wouldn't be recognized as such at work.
