fic pimpage for More Joy Day

We've known each other since the early-to-mid 1990s and she's my IRL BFF, but it wasn't until 2018 that I pimped her into fandom via taking her to Escapade. Things I Did for More Joy Day

I did fic pimpage to promote the MCU bisexual!Natasha fic of a first-time fic writer: details in this DW post of mine.

I made a memorial donation in memory of a fan-friend's deceased daughter to an animal welfare organization that was a favorite of the daughter (and due South fen will further appreciate that I specified the organization's Franklin Fund).

This one counts as two More Joy Day actions: I commissioned a single-copy run of a fan-friend's Big Bang fic to be made into a hard-copy zine by Requiem Publications (it benefits the fic writer to have a zine copy of their fic and the commission money benefits my favorite fannish publisher).

I emailed some food-and-drink recipes to a co-worker who had previously expressed interest in my cooking and my drink-mixing.

One More Good Deed for More Joy Day

I wanted to put this on my More Joy Day list yesterday, but I was waiting for the link to the memorial charity and I didn't receive that link until just now. The sister of one of my fan-friends had two wrenching and unexpected deaths in her household between the end of last year and the middle of this month. She requested memorial donations to a favorite charity which describes its mission as "to lead the hungry and homeless to self-sufficiency by providing food, shelter, housing, education, advocacy and compassion through the strength of our community". I donated in the spirit of More Joy Day good deeds.
