Date: 2022-04-22 12:22 am (UTC)Which means 2 things:
1) I am getting my 2nd COVID vaccine booster tomorrow and will have the entire weekend to be miserable in bed if that happens, because I'm off this weekend, and since every successive shot I've gotten of this vaccine has had a worse effect. Sigh. I'm just getting it over with even though it's not mandated for us (yet) because I expect it will be (eventually).
2) I can do Firewhiskey Fic!!! Huzzah!

Date: 2022-04-22 07:29 am (UTC)Well, I work until 11:30pm Friday night so I won't get home until probably like midnight, so I'll be getting an even later start than you, I guess?
Like with bad!fic challenges, I'm not sure how badly I'll be able to write even while drinking/drunk, but I'm just planning to enjoy the efforts regardless of the outcome while I maintain a good drunk yet without swerving into "I'll be sorry tomorrow" hangover territory.
It can be such a fine line, heh, but I do have a couple secret weapons: Emergen-C packets, two or three (which is surprisingly full of B vitamins) & Monster energy drink (or knockoff equivalent), one or two. Taken before retiring after an evening of solid drinking, either is (or especially both are!) like the "banana bags"* of IV fluids we give drunks in the ER. Hangover preventative. Haven't had a hangover in years since I learned this trick!
Hmmm. Will clearly have to stop at a liquor store or Walgreens on the way home from work, heh.
*They're called "banana bags" because they're yellow from the B-vitamins we inject into them. Incidentally, alcoholic dementia is a form of severe multi-B-vitamin deficiency that alcoholics get. After a certain point (usually years of excess driving), it becomes irreversible.
