Jul. 19th, 2020 07:08 pmAlas, the lovely Pentagon City Residence Hotel in Arlington, VA will be closed permanently in September due to Covid-19 financial complications. What does this have to do with fandom, you may ask. This hotel has been the Con.TXT con hotel for several years. Con.TXT 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19 and rescheduled to 2021 -- with the closing of the hotel that was already set to be the July 2021 Con.TXT location, Con.TXT 2021 has now also been cancelled.
(And btw, this was one of my favorite con hotels.)
