Fannish 50 Challenge 2025: Post #1: Fannish 50 Challenge 2025 Begins

Another year of the Fannish 50 Challenge begins!

How it works: within the year make fifty posts about topics related to fandom. You may set any theme(s) you wish or pick random topics for each post. You don't have to sign up to participate, but signing up will help spread the word about this challenge and also will call more attention to your posts.

Primary posting will run January 1 -- December 31, 2025. With 50 posts, it fits neatly into a year with 2 weeks to spare. However, you don't have to do it the week-by-week way if you don't want to do it that way, and there's no specific time-frame other than having the posts add up to 50 by December 31 -- you can make them daily posts, or monthly posts, or sporadic posts, whatever works for you and eventually adds up to 50.

Fannish 50 Challenge 2025: Post #2: More Joy Day: Annual All-Fandoms Holiday

The 18th Annual All-Fandoms Holiday of More Joy Day will be January 10th, 2025.

What is More Joy Day? In short it's this:

In 2008, in the interest of spreading more joy, sdwolfpup proposed that on a designated day in early January we each engage in one or more acts, either online or in physical space (or both!), which bring joy to another person, in the hopes that that person will spread that joy further, and exponentially onward.

This act can be as simple as leaving a comment on a fanwork to as complicated as planting a tree in someone's honor and sharing a photo of it and why you chose that person.
