A sad midsummer moment

I avoid posting sad things, but my brain is gonna be stuck on this all day if I don't post it and let it go. There was no C6D Midsummer Santa this year, and the C6D challenge I co-modded last midsummer got very little response. A few minutes ago I went to read some of the C6D Midsummer Santa from previous years and a lot of the links went to 404 Error. Woe. /o\

If any of my flisties want to rec me still-active links for your favorite C6D Midsummer Santa fanworks from any year, or if you wrote for it and want to self-rec, I would happily read them throughout the rest of the summer.

Sorry to see that the challenge hasn't been met with a lot of response. Fandom is so spread out these days! Also, I tend to think late July and August are just bad months for challenges - people are on vacation or getting ready for the school year or just sick of the heat and it's a lot harder to get folks together to do things.

I don't have any recs, as I never wrote for those challenges, but have you checked AO3 or the Wayback Machine (archive.org) for those links? I've been seeing more folks migrate their fic to AO3 lately and taking them off DW/LJ/Tumblr.

TYK for reminding me about the Wayback Machine. Sometimes I think of it, sometimes I don't.

It's more hit or miss with links from the last five years, but sometimes it works better than Google's cache links.
