It's winter in New Zealand...and you know what that means! Oh...you don't? It means now is the time for NaNoDownUnder on Dreamwidth, being run by china_shop who has this to say about it:

"Just a reminder that NaNoDownUnder starts on June first (for winter New Zealand time). Want to kick-start your writing? Set your own goals -- this doesn't have to be a full 50K-word endeavour, just whatever you want to aim for. Pick a WIP to finish, or set a daily time or wordcount goal. Or just wing it, if you prefer. Daily check-in posts. Locked comm so we can chat/cheer/commiserate in semi-privacy (ie, you have to join to play, but membership isn't moderated)."

I know some people who run SF writing workshops in June every year. How do you think pearl_o would feel about my passing this information to the workshoppers? Should I just contact her (I've never interacted with her beyond leaving comments on fics...)?

BTW, I have met pearl_o at cons, but I don't know her connection with these workshops....
