squidgiepdx has been showing fandom the love for 31 years (he founded Squidge.Org in 1994 to provide both website hosting and mailing lists for fandom and in 2020 he created the SquidgeWorld Archive) and I'm here to say let's have fandom show some love back with a successful fundraiser. (And I'm putting my money where my mouth is: I donated $100.00 to this fundraiser.)

Date: 2025-07-26 01:20 am (UTC)This has been a weird, kinda tough week. I had to just come home & chillax. On my lunch hour today I walked over to UIC for the preventive titsmashing (ugh)... & got caught in the rain. âšī¸
Lots of weirdness & fuckups at work this week (not all, but mostly, from the new baby doctors who started at the beginning of July & still don't know the ropes) that we nurses had to fix after the fact (nothing life threatening - this is ambulatory care, yay). So glad this week is OVER!
Finished dinner (big salad after some smoked salmon), about to drink me a lemon radler & have myself a gummie,đ & currently watching over the air antenna TV local broadcast of the crosstown classic.
(The White Sox are seriously kicking the Cubs' asses on the South side tonight: 9-0 Sox at the top of the 5th inning, 4 home runs by the Sox so far tonight; they're pitching & hitting really well. I know there are 4 more innings to go, but I don't see the Cubs coming back from this.)
And, once again, I am reminded how much I love baseball uniforms...đ Though I'm a bit perplexed at their Sox uniforms this year... All red & black; can't even see the white socks they're supposedly wearing. It's like they're trying to match up colors with the Bulls & the Blackhawks. Not that that's a bad thing... I just wasn't aware... It's literally the first Sox game I've watched this season. Holy crap: they just scored again - 10-0 Sox!

Date: 2025-07-30 03:41 pm (UTC)I honestly can't remember. Brain = like Turnbull's, unless I wrote it down (which I didn't). I think that's the one I ordered? But I'm not sure.

Date: 2025-07-31 03:12 pm (UTC)OK, this is too weird to be believed.
When I get home from work, if I'm home by 6-6:15pm, sometimes I put the TV on to a local over the air HD channel (Start TV, Ch 2.2) and watch The Closer.
Yesterday I did that, while letting out the dog, then feeding him and the cat, fixing myself dinner... and who strolls into the episode of The Closer about 15 minutes in - as an FBI agent - but Dean McDermott.
Turnbull.
I can't help but feel this is not a coincidence.
