You know, I looked on HBC's web site back when I posted that, to see how you could buy one, but there wasn't any info yet, even for Canadians to purchase HBC blankets, let alone US buyers.

I'll have to check again - maybe they updated it since.

They are now on the Canadian Tire website (I know because that's where I looked to see what they had for sale during this holidays season).

No joy. I tried choosing stores in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, even the Yukon. I just keep getting "out of stock at this store and nearby stores." That's for the big HBC wool blanket, but it looks like it's true for all items; I tried a fleece throw with the same HBC stripes, too. And I can't see any way to get it ordered online to ship. Sigh. Did you already buy from them?

I did not try any of these myself. I've got plenty of HBC purchases from the times I was in Toronto.
