When I was trying to trace my Latvian Jewish ancestry I was put in touch with Rabbi Creditor in Chicago and he was a lot of help although I wasn't able to get past the deliberate Nazi desruction of records.

Interesting. I'm a Chicagoan and I don't know of a Rabbi Creditor in Chicago. I only know of the famous Rabbi Menachem Creditor, not a Chicagoan.
