Why Microsoft Why? (and kudos to Dreamwidth)

As many of you know, Microsoft has decided that Dreamwidth, LiveJournal et al are spammy and have caused use to be blocked to folks who have Hotmail or associated email types. Dreamwidth responded with such alacrity that I never even lost DW use. LJ, on the other hand, has allowed me to remain to be locked out of LJ: I can't get my subscribed notifications, I can't access flocked journals to which fen had granted me access, I can't make either original posts or comment posts.

(Especially disturbing is that we are heading into a critical time for the due South Seekrit Santa, of which I am a co-mod, and I can't get into the dSSS comm in LJ.)
