Fannish Fifty Challenge 2026: Post # 21: Annual "Bring Back the Porn" Challenge

[ride_4ever]

The annual Bring Back the Porn Challenge -- now in its 20th year! -- returns on September First as it has done for two decades.

The Challenge: On September 1st, post something porny to your journal or favorite archive. This can be fic, art, icons, meta, your favorite porny recs, a dirty limerick, et cetera. Then go to https://bbtp-challenge.dreamwidth.org/62061.html and drop off a link to share the smut.

All fandoms and original work are welcome! All kinks, all types of pairings, anything goes -- as long as there is some sort of smut factor, it belongs. Whether explicit, raunchy, taboo, vanilla, or the subtly implied sort, what's wanted is any and all the smut.

For those who don’t have a DW, there will be a post to collect links from non-DW folks to be included in the fest master list. For works hosted on AO3, you can add to the collection created there.

The Rules:

1. This fest collects links, not works themselves. So you must host your porny contribution elsewhere, then drop off a link in the comm. Do not post to the now-inactive IJ community -- in order to be included in the master list, please post to this DW community. Please use the posting format as it appears in the comm.

2. One post for each response to the challenge. So if you made icons, wrote a fic, and created a porny doodle, you’d make three different posts.

3. Tag your posts. There will be a post going up on August 14 to ask what fandom tags need to be created for this year’s fest. Add general tags if appropriate.

4. No OT posting in this community. This community is for fest works only.

5. No flaming or bashing allowed. If you come across a kink or pairing or fandom you don’t like, just keep scrolling.

6. HAVE FUN. YAY PORN.

Looks interesting;)

[ride_4ever]

I participate every year -- truly a very fun comm.

[lucy_roman]

I don't often write fics that are heavy on shut but I think I might have something that qualifies. Not dS though.

[ride_4ever]

No worries about which fandom -- it's a multifandom event.

[lucy_roman]

Yay, those are always fun. Also looking at my reply I see the auto correct pixie turned smut to shut. I don't like auto correct!

[ride_4ever]

Ugh, yes, I hate auto-correct functions and predictive text functions.

Thanks!!

[ride_4ever]

My pleasure (in so many ways, heh).

[verushka70]

It's already on my calendar, yay!

[ride_4ever]

Yay Porn!

Hmm, maybe. We'll see if I can manage something. So many time sucks in my life.

(I already wrote a response to this. Trying again. We'll see if it ends up posting here TWICE.)

I get it about RL taking time away from fannish things. Some other years I wrote fic for this -- this time around I won't be having time to write fic by deadline, so I'll be doing a recs post.
